Christ is the light of life, and the Byzantines refer to him as the sun, and they decorated their churches with drawings of it. It also symbolizes insight, spiritual illumination, and divine guidance. This is in addition to being a decorative element that adds beauty to the church's urban design.
This piece is inspired by the design of the sun in the altar tiles of the Byzantine church located in the ruins of Tire Al-Bariyah - Al-Buss site (South Lebanon), and it dates back to the Byzantine era, which extended from 313 AD to 632 AD.
