The period from 64 BCE to 313 CE

When the Romans took control of "Tyre," they built their civilization upon what the Greeks had established there. The Roman civilization added new features to the city while preserving its old traditions. They introduced new customs and sports, built markets in the city, and organized the roads into two types: one for carriages and horses, and another for pedestrians near the scattered shops at the city's edges in an organized manner. They also expanded the water channels, constructed giant stadiums and amphitheaters, and organized life in the city to the point where it had a distinctive Roman architectural character.

العصر الرومانيّ: وهي حقبة الممتدّة  من عام 64 ق.م إلى عام 313 ميلاديّ

وحين سيطرَ الرّومان على "صور"، بنَوا حضارتهم على ما أسَّسَهُ الإغريق فيها. فما أضافَتِ الحضارة الرّومانيّة إلّا خلق ملامح جديدة للمدينة على ثوابتِها القديمة. ولا يمكن إنكار ما أضافوه من عاداتٍ ورياضاتٍ جديدة: حيْثُ بنوا الأسواق في المدينة، وجعلوا الطّريق إلى مدخلِها نوعيْن: واحدةً للعربات والخيول، وأخرى للمُشاة قرْبَ المَحالِ المُنتشرة على طرفَي المدينة بشكلٍ مُنَظَّمٍ. كما مَدّوا قنوات المياه، وشيّدوا الملاعب العملاقة والمدرَّجات، ونظّموا الحياة في المدينة، حتّى باتت ذات وجهٍ معماريٍّ رومانيٍّ باِمْتيازٍ. أمّا براعتهم في الهندسة، فهي ما أوحى إليْنا بالكثير من قطع المجموعة، إنْ لم يكُن بأغلبِها . أوَليست الهندسة فنًّا تصميميًّا محفِّزًا للخيال؟ ولجعل هذا الخيال واقعًا ملموسًا، اِخْترنا مجموعة من الآثار الرّومانيّة وجسّدناها قطعًا فنيّة من المجوهرات، وأغلبها مرتبطٌ بأساطير شكّلت ذاكرة المكان وروحه، ومنها
